When Lori isn’t with her family and pets, they are looking for opportunities to advocate for LGBTQ+ communities, create informative workshops on LGBTQ+ topics, and create art.
Research Interests
Lori (Lor) strives to create affirming and positive environments for LGBTQ+ populations. With a particular interest in how this impacts the community’s youth, Lor is currently researching LGBTQ+ identity formation and internalized biases. They are interested in how art, education, character traits, and society can influence identity development. Through exploring what creates internalized biases, Lor creates interventions and coaching strategies to help people unpack their hidden self and grow happier in their lives.
Coaching Education
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the gold standard in professional coaching and requires coaches to attend an ICF accredited school. This allows coaches to achieve a deep understanding of the core competencies of coaching, study the ethical guidelines, take an exam, and receive mentorship training. As a credentialed and certified coach, Lor has gone through rigorous training and extensive practicum hours to refine their skills. Through the Certified Life Coach Institute, Lor became a “CLC”, or certified life coach, and their first 30 ICF credential hours. Then, Lor continued on to the Radiant Coaches Academy to attain another 30 ICF credentialed hours and become a Certified Holistic Coach. With this education, and over a year of experience coaching with mentorship supervision, Lor is nearly complete with their practicum hours to receive their Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentials from the ICF.

The ICF defines coaching as, “Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” To do that well, your coach should be credentialed, and have achieve a level of professional education from accredited schools. Lor has professional mentorship, education in best coaching practices, life experience, and is held to the ICF standards.
